Matthew Fonte

Matthew Fonte is the founder and President of ColdSnap, Corp. in Billerica, MA. ColdSnap is an exciting, new technology that freezes single servings of ice cream, frozen lattes, smoothies, protein shakes and cocktails on demand using shelf stable pods filled with premium liquid ingredients. No cleaning of the machine required. Products taste exceptionally creamy, dense, fresh, and delicious.

Prior to ColdSnap, Matthew was founder and President of MX Orthopedics, Lexington, MA. MXO invented and produced bone fracture fixation devices using shape memory metal, Nitinol. MXO was successfully sold to Arthrex, Inc. in 2016. Prior to MX Orthopedics, Matthew worked alongside his brother and father for 20+ years and built a world class manufacturing business, Dynamic Flowform, Corp. which was successfully sold to Allegheny Technologies, Inc. in 2014.

Matthew is a lifelong learner. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Boston College, a master’s and doctorate degree in mechanical engineering from Tufts University, and more recently, an executive development certificate from University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Matthew is on the Engineering Advisory and Partnership Board at Boston College and is a lecturer at BC’s Carroll School of Management. He is published in technical, peer reviewed journals and is the recipient of over 110 issue patents. Matthew enjoys all things entrepreneurial – creating disruptive technologies with his friends and bringing them to market. However, he mostly enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two daughters from whom he is always learning.
