One of our favorite things is getting out of the office and connecting with people across the country. Normally, we’re neck deep in engineering projects and recipe development, and when we get to poke our heads out into the world, it’s a real treat. Nothing brings us more joy than seeing the pure delight on people’s faces as they dig into a bowl of creamy ColdSnap® ice cream or sample one of our frozen smoothies or frozen coffees.
Our 2022 travels brought us across the country - traveling to co-manufacturers, testing out new equipment, showcasing our technology at innovation summits, presenting at trade shows, and even doling out ice cream at stadiums. Our team recently got the invitation to attend two MLB playoff games - in Atlanta and San Diego. Here’s the inside scoop!
Atlanta Braves: Chill and Play Ball!
A couple of weeks ago, our team packed up our rapid freezing machines and headed south for some slightly warmer weather and… baseball! While we generally root for the Red Sox, we made an exception and brought the chill to Truist Park, attending Game 2 of the Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies National League Division Series (NLDS).

The three-hour rain delay did not dampen the crowd's excitement. The Battery, the area around the ballpark that is filled with restaurants and mom-and-pop stores, flourished with excitement as fans milled about, itching to get into the ballpark.
We set up two ColdSnap machines at the ballpark: one in the Champions Suite and the other in “the Bunker.” The Champions Suite is in a prime location overlooking home plate and the Braves dugout. ColdSnap was a grand slam in the suite. One person exclaimed, “After tasting it, I’m blown away by how good it tastes! Creamy, rich. Great ice cream. I can’t believe it comes out of a can. Just, wow.”
“The Bunker” is a windowless suite behind the Braves dugout with TV screens and Braves memorabilia. The guests loved the product, and a trained chef noted, “I never thought ice cream would taste that good.” It was a win for ColdSnap, and the Braves secured a “W” as well!

San Diego Padres: Always Chill... with Veteran Announcers
ColdSnap also made an appearance at Petco Park for Game 3 of the National League Division Series (NLDS) between the San Diego Padres and LA Dodgers. Fun fact: retired announcers get to watch the game from their own suite. For this special game, these veterans of the sport got an extra dose of chill as two ColdSnap machines were stationed in the suite, churning out freshly frozen ice cream. They were a hit!
In front of the rowdy home crowd, the Padres took the win! In Game 4 the following night, the Padres eliminated the Dodgers toadvance to the NLCS for the first time in 24 years. The atmosphere was unmatched as these two teams are regular season rivals.
Getting out of the office gives us the opportunity to invite people into our world and showcase our innovative technology. We had a blast at these events. The ColdSnap roadshow is going strong and, with more travel opportunities on the horizon, we cannot wait to see what is ahead!
