2008/2009 Photography Workshops

ColdSnap Photography offers a range of photography workshops which will inspire your creativity, renew your love of the outdoors, satisfy your urge to travel and explore new places - all while meeting new people.

We've organized several formats designed expressly for the needs of different photographers:
  • Gallery Workshops These workshops are designed to give you a taste of the workshop experience. If you are unsure if you will enjoy the workshop environment, or may be intimidated by the learning process, these workshops are for you. They are taught in a non-threatening environment and geared for beginning or intermediate photographers. They have small groups, and are short term workshops designed around photographing a specific topic yet teaching basic photographic skills that are applicable to any situation.
  • 2-Day Workshops These intensive two-day workshops are a great way to take your photography to the next level, regardless of your skill level. They include classroom lectures, field shoots, and review of the work you produce during the workshop.
  • Fall and Summer  These workshops offer a great opportunity for you to learn the camera and computer combined into one exciting workshop. Spend two days photographing and two days learning the computer skills to make the most of your images.
  • Spring Workshops This year we are pleased to bring back a favorite workshop offering stunningly beautiful locations in Southern Minnesota. These workshops are designed for the beginner to advanced photographer.
  • International Every year we choose one spectacular location for our International travel workshop. In 2009 we are returning to Newfoundland a land of charming people, wonderful landscape, and amazing wildlife displays. These workshops are designed for the intermediate to advanced photographer.
  • Digital Lab   Bring your own laptop computer or use one supplied by us in our state-of-the-art digital lab. Use Adobe Photoshop imaging software and learn in-depth techniques for  making high-quality digital images and prints.
  • Scheduled Talks If you don't have time for a full workshop, try attending these engaging and informative talks on a variety of subjects.

All Five-day and Eight-day workshops require a nonrefundable deposit. This deposit will hold your registration until the balance is due (usually 8-12 weeks prior to the event.) If you must miss a workshop and you inform us in enough time that we are able to replace your enrollment we will refund your deposit in its entirety. All other workshops require a 10 day advance cancellation request to be eligible for a refund (less a 15% transaction fee.) Refunds may take 4-6 weeks to process..
