Do your portraits and travel photographs lack pizzazz? Do your subjects look stiff and uncomfortable? There is a fine line between a snap-shot and an environmental portrait. Portraits should reflect something about the character of the subject. An environmental portrait should say something about the subject and their surroundings. In this workshop we will learn techniques that will give your images pizzazz and impact. Weather you are photographing familar people or complete strangers we will explore stratagies on how to put your subject at ease while you are able to make images that have depth and meaning. We will learn how to; deal with extreme lighting conditions, use fill flash properly, and how to photograph at twilight for stunning portraits. Using both provided models and fellow participants you will have lots of opportunity to practice techniques that are demonstrated during field lectures.
